Welcome to Puddleducks New Southgate
Puddleducks New Southgate is a purpose-built nursery opposite Princes Park Estate, with bright, modern rooms across two floors and a safe outdoor play area. Set back from the main road, it offers easy drop-off, great transport links, and weather-proof buggy storage for busy families.
Each room is led by a passionate team who help children thrive through themed learning and displays of their work. The outdoor space includes a vegetable patch, mud kitchen and sensory area for fun, healthy exploration. Led by Balal, the team is fully qualified and works closely with parents to tailor personalised development plans for every child.
Our Rooms
Ducklings
The Ducklings room is specially designed for babies under 24 months, offering a calm, cosy and secure space where little ones can explore and grow at their own pace. Our caring team builds strong bonds with each baby, supporting early communication, physical development and emotional wellbeing through gentle play and nurturing routines. We work closely with parents to maintain home routines and provide daily updates, ensuring every baby feels happy, safe and loved as they begin their nursery journey.
Ducks
The Ducks room is designed for toddlers aged 2 and over, offering a bright and fun environment where little explorers can develop independence, confidence and early social skills. With a variety of activity zones, children enjoy hands-on learning through play, building language, physical coordination and positive friendships. Our team supports each child’s growth with encouragement and structure, helping them become curious, confident and ready for their next step.
Swans
The Swans room is our pre-school space for children aged 3–5, where confidence, curiosity and school readiness really take flight. With a range of creative zones, group activities and hands-on learning, children develop early literacy, numeracy, independence and teamwork through play. Our experienced team supports each child’s individual progress, helping them grow into confident, happy learners ready to start school with a smile.
Fees & Dates
At Puddleducks we are committed to offering great quality childcare at affordable and competitive prices. We have a clear and transparent pricing structure, and should you require any further information, please feel free to contact the nursery manager who will be happy to discuss your requirements further.
Fees based of 51 weeks a year, paid monthly in advance:

* Government Funded Session Contributions – Government funded childcare hours only cover the cost of childcare and none of the fantastic food and consumables we provide to the children every day. To keep on providing the children with every opportunity and nutrition throughout the day, we request the voluntary contributions and thank you so much for your continued support! We couldn’t operate in the way we do without all of you helping us meet the challenge
Registration/Admin Fee (non-refundable) – £100
Please speak to the manager for a full list of fees with terms and conditions. The nursery is closed between Christmas and New Year.
This nursery accepts all Childcare vouchers, government funding and tax-free childcare schemes.
Ofsted

Key highlights:
- Staff know how children learn and develop – they provide a good range of learning experiences and adapt the learning environment based on children’s interests and different levels of development. All children are motivated and make good progress as a result.
- Children settle well, they are confident and happy in the nursery. Staff use information provided by parents effectively to support children’s move from home to the setting.
- Parents regularly talk with their child’s key person and receive information about their child’s learning and developmental progress overall.
- The provider and the manager monitor the quality of the provision effectively. They reflect on staff’s, children’s and parents’ views to help them make ongoing improvements that benefit the children.
- The staff team works very well together. The manager provides efficient coaching for all staff and meetings that ensure they receive support and training.
- Staff provide consistency of care to all children.
