Welcome to Puddleducks North Finchley
Puddleducks North Finchley joined the Puddleducks family in November 2020 and is located in the heart of the North Finchley community. Despite its urban setting, the nursery offers a beautiful and inspiring environment, including a children’s roof garden and specially themed rooms such as a rainforest, disco room, aquatic area, and storytelling space. The nursery is divided into three main areas: Duckling Wing (babies), Ducks (toddlers) and Swans (pre-school).
If you’re looking for a fresh, inspiring setting with a passionate and qualified team, Puddleducks North Finchley provides a fantastic start for your child. Reach out to Emily who leads the experienced team & ee work closely with parents and welcome you to book a visit to see the nursery for yourself.
Our Rooms
Ducklings
The Duckling Wing is designed for children under 24 months, providing a safe and secure space for early exploration and development. We focus on colours, shapes and textures while supporting language, mobility, social skills and independence, with plenty of space to explore and cots available for rest. Our staff work closely with parents to understand each baby’s needs and routines, building strong bonds and tailoring toys, schedules and care to suit every child.
Ducks
Around 24 months, children move to the Ducks room when they are ready, where they develop social skills, language, and fine motor abilities. The room offers more space and choice, with staff support to encourage independence and emotional expression. Key learning areas include patterns, numbers, sharing and potty training, with direct access to toilets to help with confidence and self-choice. Staff keep parents informed and work closely with families to ensure every child gets the best start.

Swans
Once ready, children aged 3 to 5 move into the Swans room, where they build the skills and confidence needed for school through engaging activity zones and open access to learning. Staff use children’s interests to explore the world, guided by the EYFS curriculum, and keep parents updated via Tapestry. With a mix of group and one-to-one activities, every child receives the support they need to start reception or Year 1 with confidence and joy.
